What would you do? Tylenol and PG?

So I called the OB about my chronic headaches and she said to take tylenol and see if it gets better.  If it doesn't see wants to see me tomorrow.

I don't normally take anything during pg.  Urgh... I guess I have to try it...

  • It's just Tylenol, it's not really that bad.

  • Tylenol is perfectly fine, hence your doc's OK on it.  I took it during all 4 of my pregnancies with our kids & they are relatively normal, LOL!
  • Take it with some coca-cola.

  • If Tylenol doesnt seem to work they can prescribe Fioricet.  I had brutal headaches with my 1st pregnancy and again with this one.

    DITTO!

  • See if it at least helps. That sucks.

  • Tylenol is perfectly safe during pregnancy, I would take it and see if it works.

This is what I had to do when I was pregnant with R.

  • Yeah, no worries with Tylenol - just make sure you stick to the dosing schedule.  My OB gave me a big list of stuff I can take while PG and Tylenol's right at the top of the list.  Hope you feel better!
  • I had a 3 day headache when I was about 8w. I took 1 Tylenol that took the edge off for a little while.

What really helped was an herbal roller thing from Bath & Body. It was a gift, but it's label is red & white. It's mainly peppermint. I put that on my temples and neck. Seemed to help more than the Tylenol.

  • My ob said Tylenol was fine. Even Tylenol PM at night, BUT Tylenol has not helped me at all. I have had a headache for the past 5 days. Last night I fell asleep with a cool cloth on my head and although I was able to fall asleep, I still woke up with one. She also told me to let her know if the Tylenol continues to not work. I have heard of pg women taking Vicodin too.
