Mom's with DC in Preschool

Do you ever get invited to birthday parties for his/her classmates? I was wondering b/c Anthony's birthday is on a school day and I thought it might be fun to do something small the 1.5 hours before school (they have afternoon preschool 12-2:30) and we live 5 min down the road. I was thinking 10-11:30, decorate pumpkins and have lunch and cake (ask for no gifts). He has 8 kids in his class. Do people do this or would it be strange for kids in his class to get an invite?

I only invite one kid that we see outside of school.

B was invited to a few this year.

Do all the kids have class for the same hours as Anthony?

Hi XBG!  Yeah, they all have class together for the 2.5 hours.

I think it sounds like a cute idea! Sean just started preschool (MMO) so we haven't had any invites yet.

I would like that.  I know most of the parents in DD's class.  A nice lunch before school would be fun.  I like the pumpkin idea.

It would be normal around here.  A lot of the parents invite just the girls or just the boys or all the kids.

I think that's a cute idea! DD has been invited to several b-day parties for her classmates--people seemed to start inviting for ages 3 and 4.

Ds has already been to 2 birthday parties this school year for other kids in his class. Last year we probably went to about a dozen.
