DH, DD, and I will be staying in a hotel for 4 nights in a few weeks. I can't decide if we should get a room with 2 queens or with 1 King. With the 1 King I think we'd have more floorspace for the the crib/pnp, but with the 2 queens I thought we could use the second bed to create a changing area and a play area (minus the nasty cover of course). Any thoughts? We don't want to cosleep.
Also for two nights we'll be staying at a friend's who does not have children. We'll probably be arriving too late to rent a PNP What are our options? We are flying and don't want to/can't bring our PNP. I was thinking we could buy a big laundry basket at a Target and put some clean towels in it to create a mattress and cover them tightly with a sheet. Is this a crazy idea?
Re: Travel with LO help please!
We traveled with LO at 6 weeks and my step-mom bought us a PNP to be used while we were there. It was a HUGE lifesaver. We had the changing table on it and it worked perfectly! We stayed in two different hotels plus my mom's house. I recommend taking your PNP or buying one when you get there. She got it for $100 at walmart and it was all we needed.
Airlines let you bring more check on items when traveling with a baby/child. So you would not have to pay extra to bring it, most likely.
Do not use a laundry basket! Take, buy or borrow a PNP.
