Nickname Help

Sorry- my previous post was under my old s/n- so I tried to delete it! Let's try this again..

We already have a boy's name picked out... but if we have a girl, we want to name her after my grandmother- Carmelina. 

My grandma's nickname was "Millie" which DH and I LOVE... but my mother thinks it would be too difficult to call her "Millie" like her mother- so she was thinking of "Cammie" or "Carmie."

 Also, we would be doing those wall letters with her name spelled out.  Would you recommend doing a nickname?  Or the full name (even though it's 9 letters!)

I love Millie! And I would put whatever you are going to call her on the wall.

I think that Carmie opens it up to too many jokes.  I think of "Kermie" (Miss Piggy's nickname for Kermit) and caramel.

Regarding the wall letters, I would use her full name.

Third! Very pretty for a little girl, and works on a grown woman as well.

I like Millie, but if that will be hard for your Mom, then don't use it. Cammie is OK, but might not be good for an adult woman. Carmie is not good at all, IMO.
