Freezing milk

When you are storing breast milk, do you put it directly into the freezer, or into the fridge first?

    I put in the fridge first...that is what I read somewhere, whether or not its necessary...I dont know!

    Usually in the fridge in case I need a bottle, but if I don't use it I freeze it after a couple of days.  I freeze it right away if I already have some in the fridge.

    Since I pump at work, my milk goes into a cooler bag that has an ice pack. Then when I get home I put it into the fridge. At the end of the week I freeze what wasn't used. I have read somewhere that you should put it into the refrigerator before going directly to the freezer.
