mixing formula, banana baby food, and oatmeal??

this is what my mom told me we should do, I thought you just mix oatmeal and baby food. Which is it?? TIA

    You can add a little formula to thin it out if you need to.  Which you'd probably want to do. Banana and oatmeal added to it will probably be too thick.

    I will be mixing rice cereal and formula.  If you BF use BM instead of formula to thin out the cereal.

    My doc says no the intro to Solids such as banana until 6 months.

    At his 4 month checkup today, our pedi told us to start feeding our son rice cereal made with formula.  I can't wait to get home and do it tonight!
