I haven't had it done, but I've done it myself. I didn't have a large area to do though and if I did, I would have had someone else do it. It took forever to do it right.
We have done it before ourselves, we really just put down new grout. Cleaned the old, worn grout and put new grout over it. It was a pretty old grout job, so that worked well. It is cheap to do yourself, but you do have to read a lot of instructions to know what your doing.

I've already cleaned it twice over the past 5 years by getting on my hands and knees with dozens of Magic Erasers. They work but it doesn't stay clean long. And I have over 1000sqft of tile just downstairs. I don't have it in me to even attempt this and dh is rarely home. I'm waiting for the company to call me back and set up a free estimate.
