TTC after 35

Hey girls.

Update on me:

Took the miso yesterday to induce the m/s. Not much fun. That might be the understatement of the century, lol. I'll put some more deets in my blog.

We are in a bit of limbo as they seem to think that all the tissue did not pass. I, on the other hand, DO think it passed, but the lab results and the u/s will tell the tale.

Thanks for all the good thoughts. Once we get this done we'll be back to the Re after two cycles to start this all up again!

Re: Hey girls.

  • Cathy-I've been following your story from a distance and wanted to tell you that after I had my m/c, I was told to wait three cycles.  I got my first period and got pregnant with Emerson right after that not even trying, perse.  I can't tell you how many people I know this happens to-even those who have had IF problems.

I think it's worth a shot to "try" after you get that first period back, for sure.  Your pregnancy hormones are up and it's just a good time to try.

I hope you don't find this offensive.  I've just seen it happen to many times not to mention it.  GL.

  • Well, a lot of times we know our bodies better than the doctors and such, but like you said, labs & u/s will reveal the facts. It sounds like you are doing as well as can be expected, probably better than that since you have such a great attitude!

Do you have to avoid ttc during these next 2 cycles?

I completely agree! I should have added in my original post that we will try anyway before seeing the RE again. That said, since we are MFI it's not likely to happen, but you never know!

I really appreciate your advice :)

You are so nice :) Nope, we don't have to tta, it's just my RE wants 2 cycles before they will do the IUI. We'll ttc on our own in the meantime, ever though we are MFI.

  • Best of luck Cathy. I'm also dealing with MFI and possibly endo and have had 2 natural mcs and a chemical pg and a lost twin. The process is so incredibly hard but I know you're a fighter and will get through this.
  • Thoughts and prayers are with you, and the best of luck. ?We have MFI and we did conceive on our own. Sadly, we lost that baby to m/c, due to Trisomy 9. ?But it DID happen. ?We opted to go with IUI right after that and our first one worked.

Hoping, wishing and praying this next cycle brings you a BFP with a sticky, healthy baby!?

  • I hope that everything did pass.  Good luck with the lab results and u/s.

  • I've been thinking about you.  Hope everything passed so you don't have to keep dragging this m/c out.  Good luck.

  • Hi Cathy!  I hope your instincts are right and everything passed.  You are still in my thoughts and prayers.  (((hugs)))
  • Cat I can't imagine having to go through what you are. You are a very strong woman. I hope the lab and u/s so how that everything has passed and that you can begin to close this very unpleasant chapter.

  • Good luck, Cathy. I hope you are right about everything and that you can put this behind you soon. Also hoping you'll be lucky and get KU on your own before seeing the RE!
  • Oh Cathy.  *sigh*  I am glad you are trying again!  When you get knocked down, you get right up again!  Good luck to you and keep us posted.  You are so loved here!!
  • I'm sorry this seems to be dragging on for you.  I hope the results come back saying that everything passed and you don't end up having to go through more torture.  My fingers are crossed for you and your DH that things happen through a little 'miracle'.

  • I hope that limbo is not very long for you and your DH. My big fear was that tissue would remain and I'd have to go through it all again. I really hope that all tissue has passed and that you don't have to keep going through the emotional upheaval of a m/c any longer. I hope that you get your lab results soon and that you won't have to go through any more than you've already gone through. I've been thinking about you a lot lately. Hang in there!

  • I am so sorry you had to go through this.

I hope that your u/s will show that this may be physically over for you.

    Hugs to you.
