I feel this way too. I often have to go tell DH how much I love and appreciate him after bumping and reading some bad DH vent posts. He just seems to really understand this whole new life we've entered.

I do still have my normal rants about him, like all couples do, and the other day while we were shopping I gave him a good (kinda) playful jab to the arm after a long day of attitude back and forth. It felt so good to "hit" him, that I did it a couple more times and asked if I could really punch him to help "vent." He said no, but I still felt better lol.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched...everyone has rough times at some point in their marriage/parenthood & you are still very much in the babymoon period at 1mo old.

It is possible to have a husband who is loving and caring. We're six months into it and almost five years into our marriage and all is well. Don't ever let anyone else's opinion scare you about the future. Just because things are going great now does NOT mean they'll turn to crap later. *gasp* husbands and wives who get along after having a baby? It's true!! It does happen!

It is very much a balance. Not every day is fan-tastic, but you make it the best that you can. There are good days and bad days. This is part of normal life. At the end of the day, what matters is your family.

Good for your DH for being a great guy, and I think that's fantastic that you're putting a positive post out on the boards. There are many negative ones.
