I must be a moron, can you help me post a poll?

So I've made a poll using the poll tab but when I click on post (in the poll tab) nothing happens.  I don't understand what it means when it says I need to insert a poll tag within the message.  Can one of you help me out?  Thx

I think you have to write a message first, do the poll, then post? I may be wrong....
