Cleveland Babies

any RE recommendations

Hi Girls!  This is my first time posting here and I was wondering if anyone could recommend an RE.  I live in Bay Village, so anything in the cleveland area would be great.

I recently went to an RE and her response to me when I walked in was, "what do you want me to do for you.  I mean, I can run tons of tests that will be expensive if that will make you feel better".....I wanted to cry right there!!!  I was thinking, "you are the doctor not me."   I went to this same lady two years ago when we were TTC my DD and I got a bad vibe from her then too (thankfully I found out I was pregnant two days later and never had to go back to her).

  • It was Dr. Attaran at the cleveland clinic.  I was in shock when she said it!

  • I actually used Dr Attaran at the Clinic, too and although my end experience with her was very favorable (got pregnant with my first IUI after almost 2 years) she did have a "no nonsense" approach.  Basically, she indicated I went through enough testing and wanted me to move straight to IUI.

I have heard good things about Dr Weil, she is a UH doctor and practices in Westlake.  She is part of the staff at my OB's office.  Here is a website from the UH site:

    Best of luck to you!

  • Shannonlea I am so glad to hear that you had success with Dr. Attaran!  One of my friends had success with her also, but I just did not like how she treated me.  She just made me feel stupid for wanting tests done.  Thanks for the link to Dr. Weil, I will have to check out the website!

  • From what I've heard the cleveland clinic folks at Beachwood have the best outcomes and I've heard good things about Dr. Goldfarb, but no actual experience.  I live in lakewood and if we hadn't gotten pregnant shortly after talking about it with my OB, would have gone there.
  • I really like my ob (I'm guessing that is the doc you want a referral for) she is in Parma though, her name is Dr. George, she is really understanding and has a great personality. I have no problem talking to her about anything and she is a really good doctor. I hope you find a doc soon, GL.

  • This is late, but I really like my RE and wanted to recommend him. His name is Dr. Hurd and he has really been wonderful. My DH is a doctor and he has been so impressed with Dr. Hurd that he looks forward to my/our appointments!

Another person already posted this link, but here it is again. Good luck!

  • I just started going to an RE recently, I have only had one appt with him but I really liked him, his name is Dr. Goldberg, he is with the Cleveland Clinic and based out of the Solon office.  It's right off of 422 on Harper.  It is a little ways from me but he really seems like he can help whatever my problem is.

  • It looks like you don't need this anymore, but for anyone else looking, I saw Dr Peskin at the Cleveland Clinic in Beachwood.  He is wonderful, I highly recommend him.
