Other than the word "sleigh" I can't think of a time when I've seen "eigh" at the end of a word pronounced "ay" (though maybe I'm just drawing a blank). When leigh is in a name I've always seen it pronounced "lee."

"Weight", "Neighbor"...grammatically, any word with "eigh" should be pronounced with a hard "A" sound - such as "ever-lay". But honestly, if I was saying the name I would pronounce it ever-lee (because I think it's pretty that way.)

That being said, you really can pronounce it however you want.

I was going to say the same thing. 

The saying I learned was " i before e, except after c, or when sounded like a as in neighbor, weigh and sleigh"

In names, is seems more common to pronounce "leigh" as "lee".

I would pronounce it Ever-lee.  Btw, this is one of my favorite names!  I recently shared the name with my husband to see what he thought, and of course, he didn't like it.  Men can be so stubborn!  But I still like it because it's a name you don't hear too often and who really wants their kid to be just like everyone else?!
