scare this morning, but doing okay

This morning I got up at 6am to put in a suppository and lay back down. 7 I got up and went to the bathroom and had a huge clot on the tp. I freaked out. Too scared to look too closely at the clot. Called my RE and he got me in for a quick u/s (leaving for Mexico Monday morning and I HAD to know what was going on for peace of mind). Everything is A-Okay. The baby has grown so much in a week! Hb was at 144. RE said the suppository probably irritated my cervix. Anyone else deal with that? It sure was scary!

First off, I am sooo happy that you were able to get it check and that all is well. I had bleeding in the first tri - from week 7 until week 11. However, mine was due to a blood clot in my uterus. The clot was near the baby (called a subchorionic hematoma) and it needed to absorb or bleed out, mine decided to bleed out. It was really a lot of red blood, I thought it was over, but just like you, all ended up being well. Although my RE never suggested it, I did a self imposed bed rest, worked from home and laid around. Rest up!!!

Ugg, that is scary. Thank goodness all is well. I had some spotting and the RE said that the suppositories irritated my cervix. I also had more spotting when I stopped the suppositories and the RE said that it was likely due to the change in blood flow i the cervix (or something like that ?) and it being irritated.
