I am planning on doing DIY newborn photos and have been looking on-line at pro and diy photos for ideas.
If you did you photos yourself, can you please share any tips, or advice. Heck, if you have the pics, I would love to see them as well.
For what it's worth, I do NOT have a fancy camera, just a standard point and shoot digital camera.
Thanks
Re: Anyone do DIY Newborn Photos?
I did the photo for our baby announcement. I do not have any advice (and also don't have a fancy camera) .... but I can tell you that I took probably 30 pictures and 1 came out "professional-looking". Hehe. I just used a nice blanket and tried to make that my background.
We'll do our own when we have our babies. My husband has a Canon Digital Rebel XSi though and does a lot of photography. I have a graphic design background so I would do touchups, etc.
I would say to try to use natural daylight (no flash!) and find a sheet in the color you want for a background. Then it's mostly trial and error.
I did, before I had a fancy camera.
Fuzzy blanket, sheer white curtains over late afternoon sunlight windows, one light on in the room with no flash. TONS of piks, all different angles, took 1000, got 20.
Send me your favorites and I'l fix them up nice in photoshop. I'm bored, seriously, I'd love to do it.
Davez...you're always so helpful....
Thanks - I may just have to take you up on that offer. I will probably take them next week
