ALL Pediatrics Vent!

I made the appointment for the prenatal visit with them for today.  They told me the apointment would be at 630pm.  However, I got a voicemail on Tuesday and they said my appointment is for 830pm.

 Now does that make any sense to anyone?  Why would I come in for a visit at 830pm????  So I called them to confirm and to tell them I need to resched. cause I had already  made other plans.  The guy who picked up the phone said 'how can you make plans if the appointment hasn't taken place yet?'  On top of that he wouldn't sched. me for another appointment. 

Ugh.  I'm done venting.

What a pain, but that may be all you need to know about the place and they might have just saved you a trip! Do you have other places you're considering?

I really wanted to give them a try cause they are located right down the street from me.  I spoke with the office manager and she apologized and said that is not how they operate there.  She also said they've been having issues with this guy so they will def. note it and have a talk with him.

 I resched. for next week but I am also looking at another practice.

Lots of nesties on here go to PAA. I have had nothing but good experiences there. And they have great hours--6a - 8p--and early morning walk-in hours for sick kids.

After many bad experiences at All Pediatrics, we left and now go to Pediatric Associates of Alexandria.  It's been so much better.  Sorry the guy was so rude to you.  I can guess who it was and I've argued w/him as well about scheduling an appt for DD.  That was 3 months ago, so apparently nothing has changed.  I wouldn't even bother wasting your time w/All Peds.

that doesn't even make sense...why would he question you making plans? i don't understand what he was thinking...hope you find a better practice! i love mine, but its in sterling.

Another vote for Pediatric Associates of Alexandria. They rock. Where is ALL? is that the one in Manchester Lakes? I've heard awful things about them as well.

We use ALL Pediatrics, but I go to usually the lakeridge office, and sometimes the Lorton office.  The only issue I've ever had is that Dr Caplan books up really early, so I have to make her appointments way in advance.  We love Dr Caplan though, so it's worth the early effort.  The office staff in Lakeridge is awesome,and their new facility in Lorton is beautiful!  We were there after hours though, so it was nice and quiet.  When I was PG with DD I did a prenatal visit, but they only did them during lunch hour, and the nurse gave a tour and you could ask questions.

We go to ALL Pediatrics in Lakeridge too, and we've never had a problem.  Everyone there has been very kind.  Maybe it's just the Alexandria office?
