Our world has just been inundated with Thomas the tank engine. I rearranged to furniture in the nursery to give him a big space to play and set up the tracks. My friend offered me her sons' train table with storage drawers beneath. Bone Jr. has played with these before and he has liked them, but I don't know if it would be too restrictive in terms of track layout? It would prevent him from crawling across the track, knocking things over and getting frustrated. But maybe he'll get over that soon?
If you had a train set up was it contained on a table or spread out on the floor? What would you recommend?
Re: Thomas train play table?
I think we're going to get the Kid Kolkraft train table. It comes with 100 pieces including track and it is compatible with Thomas the Train. That way he has a train table but can also have his separate trains for the floor.
But regardless of which brand you get, yes train tables are awesome. I think it enhances using their imagination. Most of the tables have a lake and some other features. DS loves having the people go swimming as well as pretend they're on the train. I think it gives them a lot more to do than just a plain floor.
