So dh and I babysat this evening for a friend's LO. We had to miss the finale....Does any one want to spoil it for me? I would love to know how everyone placed....TIA!

    Holy crap, I just finished watching it.  Kevin Skinner just won...2nd place went to the opera lady.   I am SHOCKED!

    top five were barbara, texas tenors, kevin, voices of glory, and recylced percussion.

    I am happy for Kevin.  I would have been pleased for either him or Barbara to win it.  They both have great stories.

    I really can't believe he won either. I mean as a Kentuckian, I'm happy for the guy and he did have a great story - but come on, Barbara was a MILLION times more talented than him!!!! DH and I thought his very first audition he was great, but every performance since then he was flat the whole time. I like him, think with some coaching he could be good - but not anywhere NEAR in the same class as Barbara (and I'm no opera fan). Couldn't believe Voices of Glory and the Texas Tenors placed higher than Lawrence Beaman either - WTF? America is kinda clueless - that top 5 would not have been my top 5 at all. Oh well, Barbara will be fine - look at Susan Boyle - she placed 2nd too.

    Kevin Skinner was AWFUL!  He was so out of tune all the time!  Out of the 10 finalists he is the ONE person I DIDN'T want to win and he did....that show sucks!  The past two years my favorites have come in second and now this!  I think I'll be too busy with my baby to watch this stupid show again next year so I may actually follow through with my threat to never watch it again!
