EF and kid friendly plates

what can I use that is kid friendly, not terribly expensive and can go in the microwave and dishwasher?

    Most people here use the colorful ones here. Inexpensive, they last ages and can be put in the microwave and dishwasher.

    Disclaimer: they are made of plastic, but all plastics are not created equally. Here is a fact sheet on this specific type of plastic. They also hold up well. A lot fo 'EF' products cost a fortune and don't really last.
