I'm not one to vent about DH on here but I just have to get this out of my system.
I'm seriously irked right now. Some of you may remember we were moving from California to Canada. DH and my SD left first with all of our crap and drove across country while I was left behind with DS to finish up business in Cali. Don't even get me started on all the crap he left me to deal with at our old apartment. Repainting and cleaning the whole place with a two month old....yeah.
Anyway DS and I flew in last night (OMG immigration is scary!) and when we got to our house I just about freaked. What the hell had they been the past two weeks? Hardly anything is unpacked. The furniture is in place but there are boxes everywhere. I'm about to go ballistic.
I couldn't get back to sleep at 5:00 when I woke up and DS was still asleep so I decided to organize stuff. I can't because shelf hardware is missing and tons of the boxes in the way are DHs office crap with no place to go. ARG
Now DS is up so I'm nursing him. This means no more unpacking time for me until his nap.
Re: I have to vent
Welcome to Canada!
I can't imagine having to move with a 2 month old, much less move to a different country. I would be really frustrated as well, especially if you expected most boxes to be unpacked. I hope your DH will help you get those boxes unpacked!
*hugs*
Sorry that it did not go as smoothly as hoped. Have you tried talking to DH about it? My H tends to the pull the "I didn't know how you would want it card" sometimes when it comes to similar things... Good luck with the move in though!
He knew how I felt without me even saying anything. I wouldn't expect him to unpack my crap but he could have done his stuff to get it out of the way. I mean he didn't even make the bed or get the baby's room settled. I had to find the sheets and make it myself.
