So we officially had the nurse/sick talk during class yesterday.  I explained that if you have a headache, I'm sure sorry because headaches really stink. So make sure you get enough water, but you can't go to the nurse or go home because you have a headache without a fever.

We then discussed how we don't go to the nurse unless we are really sick, etc. etc. etc.

So on to today and a crying student comes up to me and wants to go get an icepack because he got hurt during recess.  The student standing next to me at this time says, "Sorry "Joe" we are third-graders, so suck it up."

I about died laughing as I wrote him a pass for the nurse.
