Stopping pumping

So I went for my annual this morning and told my doc that I was going to stop pumping for several reasons. 1.) I only produce 2-4 ounces at a time 2.) we are about to get VERY busy at work so pumping 3 times for 15 minutes each will be hard to do. 3.) she has been on 3 bottles of formula since she was 2 weeks because of low supply. I know I have given her a great foundation but I still feel guilty for deciding to stop. I feel like a bad mom.

Aw, hon, don't feel guilty!  I know it's easier said than done, but you have given her a great start!!  Happy mom = happy baby, and stressing about low supply is not fun.  I did this myself recently and can totally relate to how you're feeling; honestly, now that I'm not pumping around the clock, I'm so much happier & relaxed all-around, and I'm sure my daughter has picked up on it, too.  Good luck - hugs to you!

Pumping is hard work, especially if you're EP-ing.  I wrestled with it for such a long time before finally throwing in the towel.  You've gotta do what's best for you and you LO will be happy & healthy either way.  Good luck!

Good for you for making it 4 months! im stopping at 7 weeks when I go back to work.
