question about a fundraiser

So we are hosting a fundraiser for a dear friends mother who got diagnosed with inoperable stage 4 lung cancer and were going to donate a cruise for a raffle. Anyway, I was wondering how much time would you need in advance to take off for a vacation, save for one or whatever. However air is not included. I searched air for that time and its about 200-300 per person. Do you think if you won a 4/5 day cruise that the 600 for air wouldnt be a big deal?? A cruise includes entertainment, all your meals and non-alcoholic drinks....what do you ladies think......The fundraiser is in two weeks and theres a great deal on a cruise for the end of january or in sept of 2010. Is jan too early and sept too far away? No you do not need a passport if your port is a US city and we have one day passports in Chicago anyway. So what do you think? Like I said we are going to donate a trip but we arent made of money either so these dates are the cheapest

Re: question about a fundraiser

  • January would be doable for me in terms of my job and getting time off. However if I needed to pay the $600 in airfare right after the holidays that might be a problem, so for me Sept. would be better.
