Reaction to A&D ointment

Has anyone else's LO had a reaction to A&D?  She has been having the runs and has turned raw so the pediatrician recommended this.  Now it seems worse than ever.  Any insight?  Similar problems?  Needless to say I have stopped using it for now.  She just has diaper-free time.

    My doctor told me to use plain zinc oxide, which is the active ingredient in diaper ointments without added irritants like perfumes.

     

    I picked this up at a local pharmacy, the chain did not have it. It was only $2.99 a tube. Ditch the A & D and call around for plain zinc oxide.
