He pukes every time I sit him up

I've been trying to get DS used to the seated position and have him sit on the floor while I hold him up.  He's pretty good at keeping his head up and steady.  But, when he's bent like that, he pukes every single time I have him sit.  Obviously, I could just NOT have him sit up - but isn't it a good idea to get him used to being upright so he gets some practice in? Did anyone else's LO puke like this? (btw, it's not even right after a feeding that I do this.....)

It's because his stomach is getting compressed as he's sitting.  It will happen as he learns to sit up on his own as well.  DS did this for quite a while--he even started puking again as he learned how to crawl.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Pedi said it's part of the development. That the puking happens when they first learn to sit, then again as they crawl because the closing to the stomach isn't fully developed yet.
