Just curious (and please none of teh babywise controversy here...) = what makes it work so well for you? I have read babywise, HSHHT, baby whisperer & they all seem so similar to me- feed, then some kind of activity, then sleep. I don't really get how they differ or what else there is to it but maybe since I read them before having the babies it just didn't connect.
Also, sidebar- my twins are 5 1/2 weeks and I struggle to do the 'activity' part regularly, I feel like by the time I'm done feeding both of them, there just isn't much time for activity, sleep & for me to do something.... Am I alone?
I do bouncy chair if they'll take it (although they generally just fall asleep in there but that is ok), I try to do tummy time but sometimes they are not awake enough after I've fed them both, I use teh swing sometimes (they either love it or hate it depending on their mood) and of course a bath is sometimes an activity but I don't bathe them every day at this point. I like to read to them but also dont always get a chance for that.
How do you fit this stuff in & still feel sane and like you were not doing baby stuff for 10 straight hours during the day?
Re: xp- babywise users?
the main thing I got from babywise was the "fill them up in the evening" concept - just keep shoveling it in before bed, and they'll sleep longer. Now who knows if that's why Ava started STTN at 8 weeks or not, but that's what I did and that's what she did. Chicken, egg, who knows.
And at that age, I didn't worry about "doing" stuff all the time - there will be plenty of time for that later. In the words of the great late Swayze... "just don't put baby in the corner." lol..

how did you fill her up? I can't get mine to eat what they're supposed to, let alone more....
