What did you crave when you were pg? Do you still crave it? Does your LO (if you're not still dealing with pg cravings) love that food?
Me: I craved citrus (oranges, mainly) and cheese. I no longer have those cravings (I have more sweet & bad for me cravings now). DS LOVES cheese and seems to really like oranges as well.
Re: EFF Mama PG Craving post:
watermelon, chocolate/ peanut butter ice ream, lemonade, donuts.
ds loves watermelon, but hasn't tried the others yet!
I craved fruit/fruit juice, Thai food, and french fries.
I still crave all of these at times, though not as frequently or fervently as I did when I was pg.
i craved root beer. I still love it, but it doesn't call to me strong enough to drive the 6 miles to town like it did when i was pregnant.
ice cream was a close second. i actually sent my neighbor out to get some for me one day last year. Unfortunately, i still like it too much, so i can't keep it in the house or it is demolished...
i don't know if DS likes either one, but i'm pretty sure he will, as he has mommy's sweet tooth. I think his first taste of ice cream will be at his birthday party.
With DS I craved cheese, fruits, and cheetos. He loves all of them. Oh and spaghetti and he digs into that too.
This time so far it's been bagels, fruits, omelets... actually, I've had a lot more cravings this time. Someone says something food related and I want it. Maybe that's why I've gained 4 more lbs so far. Oops.
Tales of the Wife
I craved lemonade, I couldn't get enough of fruit. Ally so far seems to like everything we've given her (although she hasn't tried lemonade) without a specific preference. She does love broccoli which I do not like and had an aversion to during pregnancy and wasn't a huge fan of sweet potatoes when first introduced (she likes them now) even though I eat a fair bit of them. My weirdest pregnancy food related thing is that I am normally lactose intolerant - with Ally I drank a glass of milk every morning and had ice cream every night without problem.
This baby made me want pickles (which I normally am not a fan of) and I still seem to be lactose intolerant thus far.
Anything with fake bacon, anything with hot sauce, and fruit. DD loves all fruit, bacon, and is a hot sauce connoisseur!
I'm still big into the hot sauce but the other stuff I can do with or without. The weird thing is that, when I was pregnant, I lost my spicy sensor. I seriously couldn't tell when things were spicy so I'd just keep pouring hot stuff into food. I about killed DH with a pot of chili once.
I remember eating wasabi my first day home from the hospital and being overjoyed that it actually had a bit of a kick!
We all have our crosses to bear. *there there*
I just snorted. Which is also rather unfortunate.
