I'm not going to I don't think. I had this plan of getting pro nb pics done and DS was sick so we didn't do it and now everyone's met him so it seems pointless.
Yes. Around here it is correct etiquette if you had a shower. It's just another way of saying thank you for the gifts, and gives an official update with photo.
I haven't sent mine either. At this point, I've decided to make a kick-a$s Christmas newsletter instead.
Awesome idea - I am soooo doing this! Perfect since DS is getting more pro pics @ 6 months (Dec 5th). I will be able to show the change in him from the pro newborn pics!

I sent mine out at 3 months. I felt bad about waiting that long, but I also felt bad not doing one. I was just so overwhelmed when I was on leave to actually take the pictures and design the announcement. When DD was around 2 1/2 months I received a $15 off coupon from Shutterfly and decided to send them after all. After the coupon I only paid $25 for 50 announcements and expedited shipping. I used a card with three photo frames so I could use pictures of DD in the hospital, a few weeks old, and then 2 months old. I really like how it turned out. No one said anything about how long it took for them to get out.
Re: Haven't sent out announcements at 4 mos
That's a good idea... not necessarily a formal announcement, but yet still "officially" introduces him to some extended family that he hasn't met...
I would, but I just LOVED my announcements. We sent ours out around 1 -1.5 months though. Either way, everyone still loved it.
You could always do a nb shot and a recent photo together. Babies are always more fun when they are smiling!
