Pain in right rib

has anyone experienced pain in their right rib? and if so did you ask her dr what its from?

I had it yesterday on my left rib. I think it's the rib cage expanding as the uterus is growing.

All the time!  It is always in the same spot on my right side and seems especially bad if I am sitting for a long time.  I thought that I had bruised my rib, but my midwife said that it is possible the baby is leaning its foot into it...that seems pretty high up for the baby to be though.

I've had this on and off. My OB said don't worry about it unless the pain increases. Mine is just dull and achy so who knows.

Is it your actual rib or just in the general area? Your abdominal muscles connect below your belly and just below your ribs - those are the two sites you will feel that most muscle stretching in your abs, so that could be what you're feeling.

yes!  especially when im laying on the couch.  its really painful.  im asking my dr about it next week at my appt, but i assumed it was everything expanding.

I have the same pain, and they said it was totally normal.. It just really hurt after sitting down adn then getting back up..
