Bubbly? Are you here?

I have a question about Tylenol.  I borrowed some from my assistant the other day because I had a horrible headache.  She just went to take some for herself and noticed that the Tylenol had expired in 2007.  Nice.  It's actually the generic store brand of Tylenol but what is the risk in taking expired acetametaphine especially while pregnant?

 Thanks, Bubbly!

Re: Bubbly? Are you here?

  • If she doesn't answer-call your local pharmacy. Ours are always so nice and helpful. :)
  • I would be more concerned if it had expired in like 2005 or before.  Within a year of the expiration date, your good.  Your looking at two years, the worst that could probably happen would be that the drug has broken down and isn't very active anymore.

Drug manufacturers are typically pretty conservative when they assign expiration dates.

  • Great!  Thanks!  And it actually worked so I guess it was still effective!
