Maybe you can answer this, but why are some signs different in different brands of baby signing stuff.  I can't remember the exact sign, but I saw a book at B&N that had a different sign than the ones on our Baby Signing Time DVDs.  It bugs me that it may be wrong.

The ASL website also has videos, which are neat.

i SO needed this 5 hours ago when i was watching my friend's LO!  she kept doing something and i was like i.don't.understaaaaaaaaaand and she'd just giggle at me lol..  all i know is 'more' and 'no more' essentially.

but i did find out that one thing she kept doing was the sign for cat and i have 4 of 'em so she knew what she was talkin about!!  :-D

American sign language is more universally used but there is an international sign language. So they might be using the international one. I know there are signing books for babies that use an "easier" sign that is not ASL. I took and teach DS ASL.

there are differences between American sign language and international sign language. Maybe that is what you have seen?

Thanks!  I just looked at some of the signs on the ASL site and the only one that's really different is "car."   The sign that the video uses is actually for "drive."  The lady in the videos has a deaf child so it kinda surprises me that it would be different, but it's probably in an effort to make it a more broad term.  And the car sign seems hard to do for a baby for sure.

for bottle I have always used milk. It is an easier sign. She should probably have said that.
