how to get LO into crib...

DS is 10 days old and I want him to start sleeping in his crib. He has been next to my bed in a bassinet since coming home and I tried to put him in there last night and he just fussed the whole time.

Please give any advice on how you tackled this one...TIA!!!

I bought one of those music things that plays the heartbeat sound and it worked for my DD.

This is going to sound weird but I put in one of my shirts and used a sleep positioner. I think my scent made her feel like I was close. I only had to do that for 3 nights

Can you start with naps in it during the day then put him in the crib at night?

DD just loved her crib from the beginning.  We would put her in there while we were gathering stuff to change/feed her and she would stop crying.  One day we just decided to put her up there to nap and she slept 3 hours without a peep.  That night she started sleeping there and its been fabulous for both of us.  She likes to spread out and could not do that in the moses basket and I would wake up at every peep.

 but she is 7 weeks (adjusted 3).  Ten days just may be too young.  Could you try one of those crib dividers?  My sister used them when she had twins.

Is there a reason you want your LO in a crib?  DS stayed in his cradle until he was 3.5 months old.  I think he felt lost in the crib until he got older.
