So, I'm a first time mommy and I don't apologise for snuggling with DD as often as possible. As is turns out, this is now becoming an issue as during the day she will not nap any where but on my chest. As soon as I put her down she cries out and the nap is over.
I love that she is attached to me and wants me but this can't be good for when I have to go back to work. How can I break her of this without making her CIO?
Re: Can't spoil a baby?
First off, she's waaay to young for CIO. Second, have patience and go slowly. Try rolling slowly so she is sleeping next to you, pat her bottom or back if she stirs. If you are trying to get her into the crib, hold her away from your body and jiggle her a bit until she is back asleep, then move slowly into the crib. Put her bottom down first, jiggle, then her back, then jiggle, then her head, then pull your hands out slowly.
I also found that swaddling DS helped a lot at that age.
