I keep hearing this mentioned. Did you experience this with your LO? If so, how long did it last?
Ben is 18.5 months. He has been waking up in the middle of the night screaming bloody murder for about 6 weeks now. About half the time, he'll go right back to sleep if we put him in bed with us. The other half, he'll be awake anywhere from 30 minutes - 3 hours. I'm tired.
Thanks for any info or advice!
Re: 18 month sleep regression?
Our 18-month sleep issues pretty much started at 18 months and lsted to 21 months. We are still feeling the effects!
Mostly our issues were illness and teething, but i swear at the end of it, she has been much sweeter and playful. But i guess I would be cranky waking up all the time.
She was also much clingier during this time. well, she still is - that hasn't changed yet.
It is such a crazy growth time - with talking especially and cognitive development.
Just do whatever you can to make everyone sleep as well as possible in the house. GL
For us, bedtime sucked (it took 60-90 minutes to get her to sleep) and she was extra clingy. Major separation anxiety. When she came out of it 3-4 weeks later her language literally exploded!
We also had some overnight sleep disturbance from 19-21 months. That was from her eye teeth coming in.
