I recently inhereted a TON of diapers. (go freecycle!) and now I have enough diapers that if I wanted to I wouldn't have to wash them for two weeks! I don't want to leave nasty diapers laying around that long though so i was wondering how often I SHOULD wash them?
So for those of you who could get by with out washing for quite sometime how often do you wash?
Re: question for those with a large stash
I wash when the pail gets full, about every 2-3 days. I just make sure and put the newly clean diapers in the bottom of the diaper basket and rotate them that way.
There's no way I'd let the diapers sit longer, they'd get so much more gross!
I have about three weeks worth of diapers right now, but even then, I still wash twice a week. I've had diapers in the pail before for a little over a week when I had to go to the hospital unexpedetly, and they were fine, but not something I would want to try again.
It is nice though that I can just wash them, let them hang, and toss them in a laundry bin until I have time to sort them and put them all back nice and neat. I usually only do that every two weeks. Hehe!
