Wow! That was good! lol I totally forgot thats sharon's dogs name... ok, thats 2 people i know with pets named Lola!!! Is it a pet name?

I wouldn't say it's a pet's name.  There is just a rash of people giving animals people names (e.g. my cat's name is zoe).

I am one of those people too! I kinda wish I didn't name all my pets names I wanted to name my kids lol. I have had a Jake, Milo, & Marley! haaa All names I like for kids

I'm sorry, I had a friend who named her dog Lola so I do think pet name. It's really pretty though!

It makes me think of Kelly Ripa (ugh!)...I think it's her daughter's name and I can't stand Kelly so needless to say I don't really care for the name.  If I didn't have that name association, I'd probably think it worked well as a dog's name but nms for a LO.

Pretty much just the song for me.  But, I have a DS who watches Madagascar constantly and that's the song the penguins listen to.  It also kinda reminds me of Long Island Lolita.

My sister just named her dog Lola.  I think it is a cute name though.

The Kinks' song about the transvestite.  I really like the song and I like the name.  I do agree it could be a hard name to pull off though.
