Babies on the Brain

::shakes fist in anger::

I just got of the phone with my dietician... I have to take my insulin 2x daily now.  Grrrr.  This is really starting to suck.

  • No boo.  I wanted to dislike this on FB but didn't have the option.  So I dislike it here.

    That sucks, T.  So, you have to give yourself injections?

  • Loading the player...
  • Breathe, honey. It will be okay. Insulin has been given to pregnant women safely for 50 years. (Just passing on the reassurances I got when I was in your position)

    I agree with the FB thing - why can't we have the option to dislike?

  • Sorry.  That really blows, for some reason though I don't think injections are as bad as the finger sticks.  Am I wrong?  I have this terrible phobia of fingers sticks from some sort of childhood trauma.  I would make an awful diabetic.

    Actually, you are right.  Though the finger stick technology has gotten a bit better, sometimes you don't even feel it.

  • For some reason just the thought of sticking my finger makes me shudder, which makes me especially apologetic when I have to do it to someone else.  I am pretty sure patients think I am crazy.
