When DH and I get wine, we try to find sulfite-free versions. Do you think that is important?

I will be interested to see other posters' input on this. I have not heard of any reason that sulfite-containing wines are manufactured in such a way that they are less EFF? I know my Mom does not drink any wine with sulfites b/c she is allergic to sulfa drugs & she just has a mild reaction (face flushing/itchy) to these wines.

I have a sulfite sensitivity so I look for sulfite-free versions or steer toward the dry reds, which naturally have less sulfites.  DH isn't bothered by them, though.

Part of the reason I ask this is that at WF a lot of the EFF wines are also sulfite free, and also organic. One of my friends can't have sulfites so it makes me think about it sometimes. I just don't know enough about it so I thought I'd ask.
