My sister in law is getting married this Saturday. I have decided to make her a basket for when she returns home from the honeymoon. For the basket, I'm gotten some little things that the couple can enjoy after all the wedding stress & tons of family leave to go back home. A couple bottles of wine, Ghiradelli chocolates, relaxing bubble bath, a hand-painted wine stopper, a Yankee candle called "Home Sweet Home," and some snacks - cheese sticks (it's a southern thing) & sweet & spicy mix. I'm also thinking of adding a magazine or two - just so they can enjoy a relaxing night at home or afternoon on a Saturday. He's a doctor and works funky hours - so they don't get too much alone time together.
So, I wanted to write a simple cute poem in the card that explains the basket, about "once you return from paradise and are back into reality.." something about hoping they can have a relaxing evening enjoying being Mr. and Mrs., a quiet night at home after all the stress of the wedding is now over, etc. etc.
Anyone feel like being creative and helping me out?! Thanks
Re: Creative juices (please help!)
Ok I figured it out, this is what I came up with...
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";}
As you return home from honeymoon life,
And the stress of the wedding is through,
We hope you?ll enjoy this basket of goodies,
On a quiet night home, just the two of you.
The small things in life are sometimes the best,
A glass of wine, candlelight, and a bubble bath...
Take time to enjoy the new life you?ve begun,
You?re now ?Mr. and Mrs.? -- congrats!
(sorry for all the random text, I c/p from Word)
