milk instead of eating?

I am thinking maybe brock is teething...but thats our excuse for everything these days ::sigh::

anyway...i am feeding him what he loooves for dinner grilled cheese and greenbeans. but all he wants is the milk...he literally hasn't taken his mouth off his sippy for a breath. He seems to have been that way since we have started whole milk on Wednesday - does this sound familiar to any of you? I guess we can count our blessings as switching him to whole milk was a breeze!

Re: milk instead of eating?

  • Well, my daughter is a milk junkie.  She would prefer milk to any type of food.  But if that isn't normal for him, I would say teething is a good bet.

  • DD barely eats food food. She loves all food, but just guzzles milk all day long. We've been trying to cut back on the oz of milk per day to get her to eat more food, but she just winds up cranky. I can't stand cranky winey kids, so I give her the milk (bad, I know lol).
  • We switched DD a few weeks early to milk, and it was right around the time she had a HUGE growth spurt (3"!).  She was eating a little extra with every meal, but was guzzling milk like it was going out of style and actually preferred a sippy or bottle of milk to a snack, like Cheerios or some fruit, and would refuse water.  It was so bad, she starting waking in the middle of the night for an 8oz bottle because she was hungry.

It only lasted for the duration of the growth spurt though (about 2 weeks)- she's back to eating and drinking normally.
