I have a 5 month old and am returning to work on Monday and will need to send bottles of pumped breastmilk with him. He's mostly been nursed, but has gotten a bottle once in awhile when I could not nurse him and he's always done well with them (we are using the Playtex Drop Ins bottles). We've given in a couple of bottles over the weekend and it seems like he is sucking forever and hardley gets anything and then he looses interest. Should I switch to a fast flow nipple? The package for the bottles does say the slow flow is for 0-3 months, but I'm never sure if I should trust what the packaging says.
TIA
Re: Playtex Drop In Nipple Flow
I would try it and see how he does. We changed to fast flow when he started doing the same thing. He does much better with the fast ones.
I've never seen them, but people swear that there are medium flow nipples out there. Maybe look into finding them if the fast don't work.
DS still uses Medium Flow....for some reason he never took to the fast when we tried, so we always went back to medium.
Around me they sell them at BRU and Target.
