quick!! Swim diaper question

DS has his first swimming lesssons this morning. How do swim diapers work? Do they hold the pee in like a normal diaper when he's not in the pool? Can I put it on him before we leave the house, or do I need to change him into it the minute before he goes in the pool?

    No they are not designed to keep pee in. I put DS in his swim diaper with a real diaper on top that way when we get there I just pull the real diaper off.

    No, I would not put it on him before you leave the house.  They don't really hold pee.
