Rain boots, snow boots or both

Assuming you live somewhere that your DC would be around snow.  Oh, and how old is DC.  I hate the idea of buying snow boots just to wear a few times when we actually go out to play in the snow...last year we only did it once.  We live in NJ.

snow boots, not rain boots...

I don't go out in the rain, but we go out in the snow a lot...we live in the midwest.  Kids are 5, 4 and 2.  they LOVED sledding last year.

Snow boots. Sometimes she wears them when we are out running errands because its so cold and boots are warmer. We go out in the snow a lot in winter too.

I've never bought rain boots. We don't go outside in the rain.

Sorel or Kamik waterproof snow boots for my 3 1/2 yr old.

We have both, but we go out in both a lot. DS loves to sled and we love to stomp in puddles when it rains.
