What would you have done???

this weekend the kids were invited to a birthday party that is gym and swim.  Well, A isn't going to be able to go because of her cast....its gym for 30 minutes, swim for 30 minutes and then cake and stuff.....

So--this may make me a mean mom--I only RSVP'd for Taylor (the kid is her age..but all 3 of my kids were invited) and I'm making Mitch stay home with Audrey.....

What would you have done?  Still taken all 3 and just had Audrey sit out for the swim part?

Or only make AUdrey stay home?

Or other?

I would treat a + m to a very special activity next weekend. Something good.

and if you hadn't already done it, I would have let the 2 go but treated the gimpy one to a special day by herself.

ok..confession...part of the reason I also didn't include Mitch was because under 3 requires a parent in teh pool for the swim part...I didn't want to wear a swimsuit.......................

Sooo, there you have it.

And yeah, I think DH is going to take those two to do something special while Tay and I are at the party...

See, I would only take the 1and do something with the other 2 some other time.  Not only because of the swimming with the little one, but the thought of handling 3 kids at a bday party by myself is frightening...

I think you're doing the right thing. and I hear ya on the swimsuit front- no way.

I thought it was tuesday, and if you say this weekend on tuesday, it means the weekend that just already happened.

if you say this weekend on Thursday, it means the weekend that is about to happen.

I think spending time alone with Daddy is a special treat, so I don't think your mean.  I think it is good that you are taking your one child to a party for her friend without dragging along her siblings.  Go you!

there is a good chance that I'm snarky because 2 1/2 hours of sleep last night wasn't enough, but really hopefulmom?  You'd take your child in a cast and make them sit and watch the swimming and fun while you and your other 2 kids are in the pool splashing?
