LO has been having problems having bowel movements lately and she's visibly uncomfortable, so I spoke to her pedi and one of the things he recommended is that I eliminate dairy from my diet (amongst other things). So obviously I know to cut out milk, cream, butter and cheese, but are there other sources that I'm not thinking of? And does margarine count? He also said to switch to decaf coffee, but does anyone know if the small amount of caffeine that is still in decaf coffee enough to bother her belly? Thanks:-)
Re: Going dairy free?
There's a lot of good info on food sensitivities here:

If I were you, since it doesn't seem that your LO has a definite dairy allergy (she would have green, mucousy poop, possibly with blood in it, super fussy, gassy, etc.) but maybe just a sensitivity to something, I would eliminate things slowly and one at a time so that you're not unnecessarily depriving yourself. Also, dairy can take 2 weeks to leave your system so you may not see an improvement right away. Maybe start with the major offenders and see what happens (milk, cheese, butter, etc.).
I wouldn't think the caffeine in decaf coffee would bother her.
