I have to ask, do you comb your DDs hair out everyday?  Tips or tricks?  My DD has an area in the back that gets really nappy from (I guess) rubbing against her carseat and highchair and I wonder if I am fighting a useless battle.

  • Yes, I do, and it is a fight, everyday.  OK let me stop lying, lately DH has been doing it. LOL.  I find that it is a lot easier to comb her hair wet than dry.  So if it is really giving me a hard time, I will spritz it with water from a spray bottle and put in a little leave-in conditioner. I like Noodle and Boo Conditioning Polish, but on the extra-nappy days, L'oreal for Kids makes this tangle tamer that makes the comb glide right through. Now, as for what we're going to do in the winter when I don't want her going out in the cold with a wet head....Hmm  I'll get back to you!

Also, I don' t know how often you wash, but every couple of days, you might want to just try a conditioner rinse (conditioning without shampoo).  It's helping a lot with DD's frizz and naps.  We use pattycake conditioner by curls.
