Uuh, why are my early spring bulbs sprouting?

I just went out to get the mail, and on the way back in, I noticed an entire row of green in my garden.  All of my early spring bulbs are already sprouting, and it's SEPTEMBER!

They're all going to die, aren't they?

Not necessarily.  Sometimes a cold snap zaps them and they wait until spring!
