I just freeze in whatever quantities I've been able to pump. If I pump 7 oz. in the morning, I split it into two bags of 3.5 oz. If I pump 2 oz. in the afternoon, I just freeze the 2 oz. I figure with two babies, I'll always be able to use up whatever I thaw down the road because there will be enough combinations to make it the right amount, total.
I also freeze whatever I pump. In my freezer stash I have bags ranging from 2oz-5.5oz. If you have any doubts, I'd freeze a lower amount so that you don't waste heating up a larger bag that LO won't finish.

at the beginning i froze 4 oz...then i realized that dd wasn't taking that much so i started freezing 2 oz. then i did 3 oz for a while but now that she is taking 4 oz i am back to doing 4 oz bags.
As someone who has had to start dipping into her freezer stash on a daily basis now, do mostly 3-5 oz combos, but also through in some 1-2 oz bags, so you can get just enough. I froze in mostly 3-4 oz quantities and I am now giving about one 5 oz bottle a day, and it has been tricky to come up with this number without wasting milk. In addition to needing to give a bottle a day now because I am not making enough milk, I am replacing a feeding or two with freezer milk so I can pump and freeze bunch of 1Oz servings. I am using an ice cube tray to do this. HTHs.
I started by doing 4oz at a time. So I just keep a bottle in the fridge so that my mother can top off the 4 oz bottles to make them 5oz because that seems to be what she is eating now. This week I just started freezing them at 5 oz so she won't have to worry about topping them off.
