He has been crabby with teething but still nurses ok. But it has definitely felt very pinchy when he eats. How do you 'train' a baby with teeth not to bite you??
I was always really worried about this, but DD has 6 teeth and has never bitten me. I've heard that if they do bite, you should firmly say "no biting!" and remove the babe from the breast for a few minutes. If you laugh, or otherwise react, the baby might do it again just to get the interesting reaction from mommy. Good luck!
We are up to 3 teeth now....I've only had the occasional 'nibble'. The best thing I've ever found between 2 kids is to say "no biting" firmly and end the feeding.

This is my answer - except kiddo only has two teeth!
I usually yelp and then say firmly no biting. If she does it more than twice in a row, she gets a little cool off time with no feeding. Unfortunately she usually does this when she's tired and so the yelping and then unlatching her makes her cry so a paci is usually in order to help calm her. It's happened maybe two or three times since we began teething, 3.5 months ago. And we have 7 teeth and #8 is coming through soon.
DD has 4 teeth and 2 more coming in. I think in the past 7mo she has only bitten me 3 times, and it was as she was falling asleep and coming off the nipple. I tell her 'No'. She does understand. It will be ok. GL.
