Baby Led Positioning!

I can't remember who was telling us about the Baby Led Positioning in a post on here, but THANK YOU SO MUCH! It worked wonders. I was having a hard time (or not able to at all since he would scream) latching DS on to the breast and I decided to try this position. He nursed for 15 minutes and didn't even need to have a bottle afterwards, which hasn't happened since shortly after he was born! Also, my letdown is not the quickest either and this position made me leak all over....I was caught off guard and had to quickly grab something so I wouldn't ruin my glider!

I can't thank you enough for your suggestion! You made our days so much easier!

I don't know where the post is, I know it was just about two days ago. I did, however, type in yahoo "Baby Led Positioning" and looked for videos. It is very interesting because it is skin to skin (baby in diaper) and you place the baby on your chest. They will naturally scoot down to find the breast and when they do, the pressure/touch of the breast on their chin causes them to open their mouth and latch on naturally. They tend to naturally burp (He burped three times on his own without me even moving him or anything; he latched off,b urped and latched back on!). All you do is guide them, don't put them into the breast, just let them find it and you lightly hold their shoulder and bottom! I hope it's some help. Sorry I didn't have the link for you! GL
