question for formula fed two month old babies

I am not comparing my kid to others, but i am just curious, how many ounces of formula are your two month olds eating?

At 2 months he was eating 4oz of formula every 2 hours during the day (he STTN) and he ate 7 bottles.

A is having 5.5 -6 oz every 3 hours.

We didn't start only FF until 2 months, 2 weeks, but he was also eating 4 ounces every 3 hours and STTN randomly-he ate 6 or 7 bottles.

Not FF, but in response to your post below, I think you should find a new pedi. If you disagree with his/her advice on feeding, which is one of the fundamental needs a baby has, I think you'd be better served by someone else.

Seriously - water?! Is this guy stuck in the 60s?

Okay, DS is a big eater.  He eats between 4-7oz at a feeding and eats about every 3-4 hours during the day but sleeps a ton at night -- from about 9-6 or 8-4. 

ETA:  He used to eat smaller amounts or nosh more until I realized he needed a faster flow nipple.  Once I went from slow to fast, he was all good and ate a LOT more in one sitting.  Watch for signs that your DS may need to go up in terms of nipple flow.

2-4 oz every 3 hours or so (on demand)  He is only 10lbs3 oz and probably only eats 15-20 oz/day....usually closer to 15, I don't know how to get him to eat more

He eats an average of 4 oz every 3-4 hours. The bottles end up being 4.5 because of how I mix them, but he doesn't always finish them.?

My DS takes about 5-6oz every 4hrs... at night I feed him the pre-mixed formula (purchased in glass bottles or cans) because it's heavier and he tends to sleep through the night on most nights because of this.  I definitely do not give him more than 1/2oz of water if I even give him that much.  There's enough water in the formula.  I was thinking of the cereal as well, but i'm afraid it might be too soon.
